Hodge Podge Fall Craft Show!!

I know, I know....it is Tuesday!!! But it has taken me a couple of days to get rested, organized and back on track (or at least as "on track" as I get...LOL)

HAPPY FALL...yep, I am late with this too, but this is my absolute favorite time of year!! Lots of things to share, some I won't get to now....but I wanted to share pictures of the show we were in over the weekend and some of the other awesome booths.

**Ok, I never know whether to write about the pictures above or below...so this time I am writing above...sort of a preview of what is coming.....smile!!!
The craft show was on Signal Mountain...the days we were there the weather was beautiful and so was the drive to and from.
**My Least favorite part of the shows is the setting up and the tearing down. I hate waiting around for the tent to get up and the tables set up. Once I can "do my thing" and start decorating the booth, I am a much happier camper... **Zach watching as the other crafters start setting up.
**Starting to get the booth in order
**My business partner, Hope, working on the displays and pricing.

**The shoppers begin to arrive!!!

I took some pictures of some of the great booths that were there. Frankly, I didn't take a lot of close up shots...I have found crafters a bit wary of that since so many people tend to "copy" stuff and show up with it at the next craft show. But they were gracious enough to let me get a general booth shot to share with you!!!

The first is Lynda Walker. I met Lynda when she was a vendor with our store...she does absolutely beautiful calligraphy. I have one of hers in my office with a verse from the hymn, It Is Well With My Soul....LOVE IT!! She does such unique work and combines it with antiques...love her booth!

Our friend, Cindy of Cindy's Clay Creations makes the most amazing clay figurines. I didn't get a good shot of her items, but wanted to include the picture just the same. But I will post an older picture of her items so you get the idea..

This booth is by Becky Braddock..she did beautiful felted wool purses that I was really wanting to take one home. Sadly, I didn't, but I think I will have to look her up at the next show we are in! (http://www.bbraddock.etsy.com/)

This booth is by "The Ink Spot".....they had these framed pictures that are like scrapbook pages with all the cropping and embellishments. Some had simple words in the middle like, Pray - Dream - Inspire.....some had great scripture quotes and such. They were very pretty!!!

And last is Mary Beth McClure...she had beautiful glass pieces and she has a website:

http://www.marybethmcclure.com/

All this "Fall Stuff" is making me crazed that I don't have my own Fall decorating done for home. I did pick up a couple of mums this weekend and a pumpkin...so I have a start but need to do more this week!!!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures...it was a great weekend, so much fun!!!

Debbie

Finishing Up For The Show.....

I have been working really hard this weekend to finish up items....there are still things on my list that have to be done, but at least it looks like the end is in sight!! There were two new halloween patterns I purchased that I really, really wanted to try....but they had lots of little extras that had to be done to them and time just will not permit it....maybe next year!!

Witches boots and fun treat bags....the treat bags are an idea I had late one night...super easy and really cute in person. I think I might do a tutorial on them after the show.

Love this cat pocket....it is to be filled with treats...there are a couple of things I still need to add to it.

Pears...OMG...I love these guys!!! I have made them before, but I did them a bit differently this time. I rubbed them down with cinnamon and added the tags...and it really makes a difference. These are stuffed really tight, so they have a bit of weight to them....Fun stuff.

Ok, back downstairs to catch some new Fall shows....and stitch some more black cats. Late last night I knew it was time to quit when I realized that I painted a candy corn piece all black instead of the usual stripes....lol....oh well....

Hugs,
Debbie

Sunday Visit...

This weekend, my friend Stephanie -from Between the Vines- had her first Fall Open House. She lives in this beautiful log home and it was so perfect the way she had everything set up on her wraparound porch.
I just wanted to share a few pictures with you of the wonderful items she had. I am working on a blog for her that should be up and running soon....and also some of the great items she makes for sale.
Stephanie was one of our vendors at Folkheart and made gorgeous primitive furniture and home dec items.....
Her new blog will be at : http://betweenthevines-springcity.blogspot.com
Enjoy...

Debbie

These are just a few pics to let you in on what I have been doing....

Prairie Dolls and Putkas Pods...

Boxes and Baskets of Tags...

Well, I am off to get ready to watch the debates this evening....and stuff a few dolls.....
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Hugs,
Debbie

Friday Note.....

Just a quick note....I have been sewing away for the show for next weekend and later today I plan to post a picture of some of the finished items...but this post is to share with you about a group I am a part of.

Over the years, much of what I have done in the way of classes, speaking, online groups has all had a central theme of "friendship". I think friendship of great women is so important to each of us. Our hubbys and SO's are great....but frankly, men don't make great "girlfriends". They are the ones that understand what you are going through with your kids.....your home......dealing with aging parents....sickness......self esteem and on and on and on. Having amazing women friends is a great gift that we give ourselves.

In looking for friendship......will you get hurt at times.....probably. Frankly, we are all human and are prone to doing stupid stuff at times. But you learn from that.....you learn how to pick your friends and you learn how to be a better friend to someone else.

I am enormously blessed with good friends...... and that is my wish for all women.

As part of this, I know that not all of us are where we can get out to make those friendships at times....so there are some great online groups. I am part of a group that I would love to share with you....and if you are interested I would really like for you to check them out.

Go to yahoogroups.com and check out the group: Celebrate_Every_Day If for some reason you can't get there, email me and I will send you an invitation.. dailygrace@bellsouth.net
Is this group the magic answer for everyone....nope. No group can be everything to everyone...that is just a fact of life. But if you are looking for a great group of women....that laugh together, support each other and more....it would be a good one to look in to.

Praying that each of you finds an amazing friendship to bless your life!!!
Hugs,
Debbie

Yes Virginia, Sugar is the answer....

Soooo...I am up all night getting the new shop blogs added with their html codes for paypal buttons.....which, by the way, 1/2 of them didn't work this morning....arrrgggg. In the midst of trying to fix that, my email program notified me that it desperately needed updating, so I clicked the button only to find that it DELETED my email program with all my email addy's, important emails I was saving and more.....
Yep, one of those fun mornings....My solution...hit the road and find a SUGAR FIX (see above doughnuts!!).....yep, after venting to a couple of friends on the cell phone......I arrived home to find that the email had come back (magically)....and things are looking better.
Possibly, sugar fixes should be available through your pharmasist.....but then imagine the costs of the health care plan to cover that!!!!......LOL
Just one of those days.......lol

Deb

My New Baby.....

Happy Wednesday!!
I have had several of you email or comment about some of the items that I make. For some time I have wanted to set up a little shop for them other than my Etsy one (which for some reason I have a horrible time remembering to update!!!).... So if you have the time, please click on the little girl and she will take you to my new shop blog "Pieces From A Creative Heart"... Let me know what you think!!!

The plan is to update frequently with the items that I am making.

Thanks so much!!
Hugs,
Debbie

Oh, I stole this from The Feathered Nest.....I just loved it and wanted to share it with all of you creative women out there!!!!

Give It Back....and No Body Will Get Hurt.....

As some of you know, I have been getting into the whole couponing thing....just trying to stretch the family food budget. Things are getting so high, and it seemed like something simple I could do to help out. I joined "The Grocery Game"....which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! One of my problems with couponing is the time to match all the coupons with the sales.......the Grocery Game does that for you, which is a major help!!

Now if you coupon, you know that you don't save the big bucks the first week you start....it takes a few weeks of collecting to get a stash built up so that you see substantial savings....well that was where I was, I had finally reached a point where my lovely, white index card box was FILLED with amazing coupons.....and now it is missing. I have looked everywhere.....so seriously....give the darn thing back!! I won't post your picture or beat you...just give it back!!

I really don't know what the heck happened to it....I have searched the car, the house...even called the last grocery I was in to see if it got left behind in a cart.. No Luck. So if you see a lonely coupon box lurking out there searching for it's home....please send it my way. Now I just have to go back to the drawing board and start all over again......geez

On another note....this was one of those weekends where I was just on the couch. Nothing serious, just the sinus crud. It is rare that my hubby will say, ENOUGH and grouch about me stopping everything to rest but this is one of those weekends. And just a side note, if you have an upset stomach and you request crackers....please do not let them bring you garlic/onion flavored ones, SOOOO not a good thing.....LOL

Growing up in my house....you were never allowed to do nothing. My mother instilled that in us....she wasn't even crazy about reading, as to her it seemed like you were wasting time. So during my "down time" this weekend...I was searching for something to do on the couch. Nothing I had to read was calling me.....and I remembered the Punch Needle video I posted. I gathered all my stuff and decided that would be something to play with....I really love this stuff!! And here is the project I finished during my "couch time"!

This is a fun jar that I can take to shows and fill will wrapped candies.....the work is not perfect, but it was fun and I can wait to play with some other designs. This pattern is one I had picked up last summer when I visited friends in Indiana.....it is from Primitive Gatherings. Easy, easy, easy!!!

So what is on hand for this week.....more doll making to get ready for the October shows, I want to get back into journaling as I have let that slide for too long, and to get caught up with some online stuff I need to do.

ALSO....I rubberstamped some simple tags for the last show. I was amazed that they all sold, so I have been tea/coffee dying a bunch of tags (500 to be exact!) And here is my rubberstamp display in my office....

What I find humerous about this whole rubberstamping thing is....I have friends that do amazing work with chalks, embossing, watercolors and more.....so I never thought these simply, plain stamp tags would sell. I just did them because my partner doesn't stamp at all and wanted some simple tags for her dolls...and I thought maybe others would want some....what a surprise that they did so well. Of course, you know how this goes, I will go with a well stocked basket to the next show and not sell one set!!!! LOL

Have a wonderful week!!!

Debbie

Needle Punch

Needlepunch is something that I have wanted to play with....I have all my supplies, just not the time to do it. I found this great tutorial on You Tube and thought I would share it....

Anyone have any great needlepunch projects they would like to share?????

Debbie

Another Monday.....

Well, I actually started this post in my head this morning....so excuse the references that make it sound like I rose at 4am to start my day......LOL

I am trying to get some order to my week...it is tough here at times, but if I don't at least pretend that there is a plan in the works....things just get progressively worse!!! And several years ago, I remember Teresa from Plumwater Cottage sharing how she viewed September as the start of her year more than January. I know that is true for me...I adore the Fall!!! And the kids are back in school...I am gearing up for shows.....getting back into home things...and it is a great time for me to get organized.

So what is on the "to do" list for this week???

1. I need to make major headway on items for our upcoming Fall Craft Show...so lots of stuffing, sewing and painting in the works.

2. I have not forgotten our "Name the Broadcast" contest and we will decide on that this week also...and share our winners name.

3. I am going to try to make a menu plan. I do much better when have something planned...but I am terrible at doing it. I will try to post it later to prove I actually did it!!! LOL

4. I love Leslie Sansone's walking dvd's...and my friend Jen joined her online walk club and raves about it. So I have signed up and I am starting the workouts today.....stay tuned for updates of muscle pain and a run to the local grocery for BenGay......LOL

5. AND the big one, I am back on "the card file"....this is what was out before Flylady came about. While I love her ideas, and push.....I am not a fan of the lists...could be that it is because I started with the card file and it worked really well for me and that is my "comfort zone"....

And the picture at the top??? This is a new pattern and item I am in love with....I apparently have this whole "pincushion" fetish going on as this is another pattern I found for wool pincushions and it was so much fun to make!!!

Hugs to you all!!! Have an amazing week......and I would love for you to share your to do list!!!

From The Outside In....

I am not sure how to start this message....but here goes. I grew up in a Christian family with lots of rules and regulations.....no chapter and verse for most of them, just the knowledge they were the final authority on how people should act, where they could go, who they could be seen with and how they should dress. At some point in growing up, I figured out that most of it was more than a little out there...and considered the source and moved on. Maybe because of that, there are things I don't pay that much attention to...that maybe I should. But I think all of us, somewhere inside has that book of rules and regulations...some are positive and some are not. What made me think of this was hearing someone talk about a friend and how "they hadn't called" and "were they mad at them" and "why couldn't they go with them" to some apparently important event. I started thinking about what this gal was saying and how some of it could apply to me....calls that hadn't been returned, emails that I am desperately behind on. The problem is, many times we just look at the other person through our own life vision.....and not with the reality of what they may be going through.

I don't often talk about the health issues that we deal with here at home. Basically, because other than to vent on occasion to a friend, I don't think anyone cares to hear about it....and it is just our "life" so I don't get dwelling on it. But I shared with some online friends something that had happened here at home....and I was overwhelmed with their response and thoughtful replies..... so I thought I would post it here. It is nothing that dramatic....but I think sometimes we need that reminder that the neighbor that barely speaks when she comes in from work may be just so burdened that she just wants to get home to escape.....that friend that hasn't called may not want to bother anyone else with the problems she is going through. We like to think we know our friends, neighbors, families well....but truly, unless you are inside the four walls they live in....we truly don't know. And because of that....looking at them with "grace" is so important.

My husband is a disabled Vietnam vet.....he has had health problems for some time and they had steadily gotten worse. There are days you wouldn't know anything was wrong....and there are days when his meds for one reason or another just aren't working right. So we might have several days of no sleep.....or awaken to find that he wanted to straighten up somewhere in the house and there are pantries, closets, drawers emptied around that house that have to be dealt with. As aggravating as this can be some days.....I do know, that things could be much worse.

So, this last week, I found him rummaging around in the garage. I went out to see if I could help and asked what he was looking for. He told me he needed to find the floral foam. Ok, I asked what for.....I got that look of "are you just stupid" and was told "For the flowers, of course." Allllrighty, I tried to figure out if he had some real flowers, fake flowers or what the heck he needed it for. Well, he told me that he was trying to get them to stand up. I tried helping with a vase or with something else and nothing was what he needed. So I decided to back off and let him work on this. Later he came to me with a teacup full of roses he had picked for me....it was soooo darn sweet. As I started to take a big whiff..I asked if he had put an aspirin in it to keep them fresh....he said no, he had found something else to perk them up. Yes, he did....about that time I got a big whiff of TACO SEASONING!!!! Let me just say, I wouldn't recommend this for you to use at home. LOL

There are many of these moments, as well as the ones that make you want to go to bed pull up the sheets and hide for awhile....but that really isn't an option.
I am writing this because I know there are many of you caring for a spouse, a child, a parent or other loved one....and I want you to know that "I get it". Know there is someone else out here that sends you huge hugs.....days with "taco" roses.....and smiles to carry you through the tough stuff.

But even more than that.....I know a Savior that loves us just where we are...when times are scary, dark, and lonely.....and when there is joy that overflows. He is always there for the good stuff as well as the bad and he will hold you through it all.

Just a reminder....you are not alone.
Sending you hugs....and a taco rose!
Debbie

I am still here, just really swamped and will try to do a catch up message this weekend. The show went really well, but it seems that Walmart has lost my pictures!!!!

So hang in there, an update is coming......and maybe a fun recipe!!!

And We're Off...

And so it begins....we are almost packed for this weekend's show. I have not everything I had planned to make, but much more than I thought I would have. There were a few jewels stored away that I had forgotten about!
I love doing shows, meeting people, talking about all the wonderful things everyone has to sell...and I will probably be bringing home new things too!!!
Plan to take lots of pictures this weekend to share with you!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me....if sales go well, I promised my son a Wii.....nothing like a little pressure!!! LOL

Back to packing and then off we go.....

Baby Shoe-aholic

The wonderfully creative and talented Dawn from The Little Speckled Egg, has some great tutorials on her site. I purchased the one for these adorable baby shoes...and now I am sooooo darn hooked. They are so sweet.....and Dawn's tutorial is wonderful. She has color pictures for each step of the way and great tips/instructions for making this a breeze to do.

I am making these for the show we are doing this weekend.....but what a great gift idea. Wouldn't it be fun to get someone's baby shoe and a baby picture to make these with...even some of mom's old costume jewelry or buttons to use. What a great way to give a personalize treasure. And what a fun idea for a wedding party, if you could get something personal from each of the girls to use. Or just a fun gift for your girlfriends.

What about a baby shoe night????? Have your girlfriends gather their treasures and come over for a fun night to make their own shoe and share memories with their pictures and treasures!!!

Yep, I am officially hooked!!! And if you aren't interested in doing these.....well then contact me and I will give you my address to send all the costume jewelry, baby shoes and buttons that you run across.....wouldn't want them to go to waste, would we???? LOL
Hugs,
Debbie

Don't Forget The Contest.....

Go HERE to enter our Name The Radio Show contest!!! We would love to hear your ideas!!!

AND if you have an idea or something you would want discussed or someone that you think we should have on as a guest...please let us know!!

Thanks so much!!!

Sweet Pincushions.....

These are some of the sweet little pincushions I have been working on for the show. It is from a Down Memory Lane pattern and I just love looking for vintage spoons to make these with.

Sadly, I deleted the "before" picture by accident. We needed a small sign for our booth this weekend...I had visions of doing a quilted one, but that will have to wait. This one was at our local Goodwill with a torn and tattered red chili picture at the top. I went to the computer made a cute sign with our name and tagline. This picture doesn't do it justice as it turned out really well in person....I want to add some old buttons around the picture and I think this will make a great sign to take with us to different shows. The chalk area could have a great quote, welcome, or even a show special we are running!!!

Off to the studio....who knows what will come out next....LOL

Debbie

My First Award.......

My dear friend Tiff, from Making Room For Serendipity has tagged me with this little meme AND given me my very first bloggy award! Thanks so much Tiff!

Okay, first things first...These are the rules which need to be passed on:

1).Link to the person who tagged you on your blog.
2).Post the rules of the tag on your blog.
3).Write 6 random things about yourself.
4).Tag 6 people at the end of the post.
5).Let each of the people know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6).Let tagger know that your tag entry has been posted.

Six Random Things:

1. When I start thinking about something...I just can't turn it off!!! I remember being a speaker at a women's conference and my co-speaker told me in the middle of the night, "Stop it, I can hear your brain from over here!!" LOL
2. I am a true Diet Pepsi from Taco Bell-aholic. There must be a 12-step (or drink) program somewhere!!!
3. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE working with women in the crafting business....especially the ones that are starting out. I like nothing better than late night phone calls to brain storm about their businesses or shows.....
4. I am a bonified craftaholic as I want to try everything. I know that not everything is going to be my cup of tea---but each new craft teaches me about a new technique or material to use, and that is great info to use on the crafts I do love.
5. I was the little girl in the crinoline slips and sweet dresses that sang solos in church on Sunday mornings. I remember our minister coming to our house to teach me new songs to sing for the services....sadly, now they would request that I didn't sing....LOL Can't get into the crinoline slips anymore either.....LOL
6. I struggle with being angry at the Christian family that I love for some of their prejudices and exclusions.....that need for us all to be "cookie cutter" christians and not the individuals that God created us to be. I am not talking about sinfulness...I am talking about individuality.

Tagging these awesome bloggers, but please don't feel pressured to play along, I promise it won't hurt my feelings any ;o). And if there's anyone else that feels like snagging the meme, please feel free, it was tough for me to pick just 6 people when I read so many great blogs every day!

1. Jen over at Knitting Jen
2. Tina over at Giggles and Grace
3. Teresa over at Plumwater Cottage
4. Vee over at A Haven For Vee
5. Mandy over at mandythompson.com
6. Lisa over at The Preacher's Wife

And now...TA DA...the award!!!

Thanks again Tiff....I am truly honored that you chose me!!!!
Hugs,
Debbie

A Few Finished Things......

(A quick thank you to you dear friends that have added info about my contest to your blogs!!!! I wish I was computer savvy enough to come up with a cute button to add to your blogs....but alas, I ain't there yet!!! LOL But truly a heartfelt thanks for your help!!! HUGS!!)

Please remember to check out my last post for the Radio Show contest....the reason I wanted all the names suggested in the comments area is that it is like getting together with your friends and throwing out ideas. Some ideas spark new ones....that makes it fun.

Love the ones that have already been suggested....and looking forward to seeing yours!!!

In the meantime, I have been working away and here are a few of the finished things......

Remember the colander from my shopping the other week? Well, here is a lamp I made from it.

And some Raggedy Ann pins I finished....

And last, Hoot the Owl...one of several I am finishing....

Hope you are all having a great weekend.....don't forget the contest!!! And if you live any where near Chattanooga, TN or Lafayette, GA....check out my business site:

It was my birthday.......smile! And A Contest....

Apparently, I need a plethora of excuses for this week!! Wednesday was my birthday...and while I got some things done...I did have a little celebrating to do....Heck, you only turn 51 once, right?????
Then, again, I was called into the library to work today.....SOOOOO, to make it up to you, how about a fun contest...and please feel free to send 400 of your closest friends to this blog to help us out!!!

Here is the deal....we started out with a simple name for our Radio program....Creative Living 101...ok, I know, boring. Then someone came on the radio list announcing her program, Girlfriendology....and sady, title envy hit. I knew we needed something more....a name that was fun, upbeat, creative, and "girlfriendy". Not asking for much, am I??? LOL

We want something to reflect what we will be talking about......friendship, faith, family, home, recipes, books, music, creativity.... You get the idea. What we need is a fun name that reflects all that.....so if you would like to enter our contest, and enter as many times as you would like....add your suggested name in our comments area...be sure your email is listed so we can contact you. And the weekend of August 23, we will pull all the entries and the girls will get together and decide the winner by August 30.

So what do you get for all your inspiration???? We will put together a fun package that will include one of my prayer angels (see picture in an earlier post) and other assorted goodies.

We truly would appreciate your help with this!!!!!! If you have any questions, just email me at:
dailygrace@bellsouth.net But your entries have to be in the comment area.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.....AND THE 40,000 OF YOUR FRIENDS THAT YOU WILL SEND THIS WAY!!! LOL

Hugs and have a wonderful weekend!!!

Those "best laid plans"....LOL

I should have known when I posted that I would have pictures from my finished projects each day......that was simply an invitation to get all my plans changed!!!! LOL
I was called to work a couple of days this week.....love it, the money is good, the timing could be better, but I am not going to complain!!!!

SO....instead of finished, how about a work in progress??? These are Hoot the Owl that I am working on. I have visions of him, alone, on a wreath with a moon and stars, and maybe sitting in a smaller wreath for a fall centerpiece. We will see what happens with Ol Hoot when he gets finished.

That means this evening......I have brought home a pile of movies from the library and I will be sitting in front of the tube with my Diet Pepsi from Taco Bell (I really should get some kick back for advertising for them so much!!!! LOL), a movie, a huge box of stuffing and a pile of doll parts.....wanna join me?????

Hugs,
Debbie

A Photo A Day---A Finished Project A Day....

Recently, I saw a blog (I believe it was Rebecca Sower's) that had a picture a day posted. I thought this was such a neat idea. And would work well for me right now....I am working to get ready for some upcoming shows and new Fall things for our booth and I really need to be cranking out the "stuff"...LOL

SOOOO....in an effort to keep current on my blog, record my progress on fun items I am doing, I am going to do a project a day for the next week or so. Now all of these were not finished in one day...I always have several things in the works around here...but it will be what I get to the finished stage. And in a crunch I may have to post works in progress.....smile!!

These apples are from a pattern I have had for awhile from Tennessee Ridge Primitives.....easy to make, really fun to do...and they could be used as a great centerpiece for fall. Imagine them filling an old colander or great wicker basket. Maybe throw in a few fall leaves for more color....

This is what I have finished so far today....there is more on the work table, so I need to get back to it.
ALSO...watch for later this week, I want to post a contest connected with our radio program!!! So please check back!!
Have a great Monday.....do something fun and creative for your home!!!
Hugs,
Debbie

Heigh Ho... Heigh Ho...It's Busy Work, I Know....

I am really trying to be better about consistant posting....and the upside is, I am doing much better than when I started. But I am working on getting lots of goodies ready for some upcoming shows and such. The basket above is full of finished things from yesterday......homespun wrapped hangers, clothespins and primitive stamped tags. So at least you know that I am being productive in my absence!!! LOL

BTW....our first show this season is on August 23 in Lafayette, Georgia. We will be in an historical home..The Marsh House...I am really looking forward to this fun day. You can find out more about the Queen City Market by clicking on the name. I hope some of you will join us that day....

Now on to a new project....because you know, there are never enough projects!!!! LOL

I know it is a scary idea...LOL....but I am looking into doing an online radio show with a couple of friends of mine. It will be a continuation of things we have done online over the years and with the newspaper I had, Creative Grace. We want to talk about "girlfriend stuff"....faith, family, friends, home, recipes, great books and music, and so much more. We are working on getting a start date that I will post soon as well as the name of the show..... But, I would love to hear from you some of the things that you would love for us to talk about or give us names of people that would make great guests. The show will be a "call in" show, so I would love for all of you to be able to participate. The program will be online....so you can listen to it live or catch up on the programs later.

Some of the topics we have been talking about is: Gift Closet, Once A Month Cooking, Book Club, Home Business...... Creative Endeavors,

I would love your feedback on this!!!!
Hugs,
Debbie

BTW....we need music...for intros, fill ins and to end the show....they can be different each time. So if you know someone that would like to have their UPBEAT music heard, let me know....we don't $$$ but we are happy to promote their music and site through the show.

Finders Keepers......

One man's trash is another man's

TREASURE!

I am officially on "the hunt".....crafting mania has set in, I have some great new patterns, including one from this fun site. It's the one with the adorable baby shoe pin cushion....(thanks for sharing that with me Miss Ellen!!)

My hubby was having a good day and just wanted to get out of the house....so I hit the local Good will that was having a 1/2 off sale...yeah!! There I found the sweet baby shoes that I was looking for .....and a grater that will either become part of a kitchen wreath or a lighted centerpiece. Then off to another resale shop where I found the cute small, sturdy suitcase...LOVE IT!!! I haven't decided whether to cover with fabric or vintage pictures....what a great place to keep all your letter writing stuff or even your journals!!! Then on to the great white metal bucket I found---it is going to be filled with a Santa and lots of toys. The collander, I am thinking a light and some ragballs could make it a fun center piece... Then I found paper mache boxes on sale...and some wonderful rusted stars. So many goodies....soooooo little money!!!! My kind of shopping day!!!

I can't wait to begin working on these projects this week....I will share pictures of the finished items!! But to be honest....those sweet baby shoes are calling me. All I need to do is go raid someone's costume jewelry stash and I am ready!!!!

Hope you are all having a great weekend!!!!
Hugs,

Debbie

Drum Roll Please.....

Alright, I am on a roll here..... I have sooooo many body parts laying around my work room with lots of dolls and other prim stuff in various stages of "making".... it is nice to get some of them FINALLY completed. This was part of todays "stuff". I made this wreath using a crow pattern from Sagebrush & Sassafras. Love this guy. I used this one to make a wreath...but the others (and you know there are others lying around....LOL) will just hang on the wall.

Now to get back to the 12 zillion other things I need to finish.........
Hugs,
Debbie
